Hi Folks, I recently lost (a long story) my favourite float rod (a Great Lakes stick used with a centre-pin reel for steelhead/salmon) … a 13’ G Loomis IMX (ST1564). In 1998, this blank cost me about C$285, now it’s going for C$475. Needless to say, I need to create a new favourite powered by a new blank. What are the recommendations of this board based on what I appreciated most about the blank (light weight – 2.35 ozs, light action – 4 to 8 lb rating). Thanks in advance, Carlo from S. I fish the Great Lake area for Steelhead and Salmon also. I'm using a 13'6 Rain Shadow this year and I really like so far. Minded I've only used it this season, but it has performed well for so far. Re: Recommendations to replace lost friend ... IMX ST1564.

I use the Rain Shadow for fishing the Ontario Tribs. Just like the GL3. Nice tip action and great back bone. Check out this link for a review. www.thesteeledge2002.com/inthevest.html?1023652916640 Rolly Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
