They're certainly good guides. For the tiny bit of money difference I'd move to the Alconite concept rings (or similar) which will be a tad bit lighter.

I use the Fuji Al Oxide and Hardloys on my fly rods both good guides. Looking in the catalog I might step up to the Alconites for my next build, You really can't go wrong with any of the Fuji's. I've fished both my #6 and #4 pretty hard and for a number of years. finish on the rods is kind of scuffed but guides look like new Re: Fuji hardloy guides

The hardaloy guides are fine and have been used on millions of rods.
However, as other posts suggest, the Alconite guides are a bit lighter, and the ceramic is thinner and the guide has a much cleaner look to it. Take care Roger Re: Fuji hardloy guides

Alconites or Batsons for me as well-I really do not like the color of the Hardloy rings Re: Fuji hardloy guides

I have had nothing but problems with the Alconites, too many popped inserts. The Hardloys have held up great with the same people. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
