It may be old. They say ten years but I think its twelve. Twelve volumes = twelve years.

Not an old article. Here is a direct quote.

"To further the craft by continually introducing new ideas, techniques and methods. I'm proud to say that in the 12 years that RodMaker has been published, the craft has seen more growth and expansion into new aspects than at any time in its previous history."

A fishing buddy and I started talking about rod making a few years ago, but it didn't go anywhere for awhile. I think mostly because of a lack of information.
After some poking around I found a local rod builder who is very helpful at times, and also this website and just a few others. Then I ran across rodmaker magazine and recently started a subscription. Great magazine! Not much fluff, lots of good information I feel good about having been tested by folks who sound like they use this stuff to see what works, not JUST write about it and move on to next months article. Between the ability to ask questions and get feedback in a timely manner from folks actively involved in the craft and the magazine articles it is much like being in school. It is very cool to be able to see current work from all sorts of folks, some of it very impressive, and maybe get to converse with those folks to bounce ideas around.
Not a good job Tom . . . an EXCELLENT job on the magazine and the site, Thanks! I hope they both stick around awhile.

Great job, Tom, congratulations. The more publicity the better.
