Micro transition?

Ok... I want to try the micro's but for the life of me I can't figure out how the transition on a casting rod is going to happen with out putting a ton of guides on the side. I check the site from time to time to read up a little and I am sure I have missed lots of conversations on it(yes I have searched back a little). I was wondering is someone had a picture of the transition with the micro's or maybe the whole set up? I don't know why I can't get this in my mind how this is all going to work out.

Thanks, Mike

The line will transition itself to the bottom of the rod - you do not have to take it there, it will go there all by itself if you will let it.

So with the micro's no guides are used as bumper guides and the line will touch the blank? I have used the simple spiral for the last couple years so this is what I am comparing too.

You can still use a bumper guide - it doesn't play any role in the transition. It just keeps the line off the blank. I'd use a size 8 or 10 low frame casting guide for the bumper, however.

Three rods -

The one you are seeking is on the left of the picture. It is a little deceiving from the angle that the picture was taken. double foot 8, two double foot 6, single fly 6 and 3.5 running guides -
