Hello, I am just starting to get into this hobby and have a question about a specific blank....

I recently purchased a couple Powell Rods for bass fishing and really like them..I am wanting to build a few more but I dont know what brand of blanks would compare.. I want the blanks to be as good or better.. Any suggestions?

I am still fairly new to this as well and believe me when you ask about blank selection their is usually no shortage of great advice. I personally have bought quite a few blanks finding sales here and there and for the money lamiglas and rainshadow blanks are pretty nice. Custom tackle has a sale on some nice rainshadow blanks and if you ask for Bob he will take awesome care of your order and answer any crazy newby questions, believe me I asked more than my share. Good luck with it and as a disclaimer I would like to reiterate that I am still fairly new and some of the more permanent fixtures around here are a wealth of excellent time, energy, money and hair saving advice.

I'd call one of the sponsors listed to the left. They're all able and willing to discuss blank selection with you. Let them know what you have and see what they offer that meets or exceeds those Powell models.

There are just so many really good blanks at such good prices these days that it's hard to quickly narrow your choices down to just 1 or 2 makes.
