Maybe the Best Investment?

I have been secluded to a basement work space for years and have not had the opportunity to seperate the turnihg, cutting , sanding space from the all important clean dust free thread wrapping area that I would like. I recently purchased a dust collection devise that I attach to each individual power tool and I can tell you that it has made a world of difference. I no longer have to chase around with the shop vac that has a hard time with dust particles to begin with, no more constantly cleaning filters. This small ??? investment is well worth it. I would suggest to anyone that turns anything in the viscinity of a wrapping area to give this some major consideration. You will be surprised with the depletion of dust particulates.

So...you just leave us hanging?! LOL

What is this magical device? Where did you get it? How much did it cost?

Matt,

Sorry to leave you hanging. My intention was just to let anyone that was thinking about purchasing a dust collection system that you will not be dissappointed. This is not really a small investment, mine was around $250.00 from Menards. Any of the larger tool companies make them such as Jet, Delta, Steel City and offer much bigger units than the one I have. My point being is that once you have tried one you would never want to be without it.

Hello Dennis,

I got the PERFORMAX model 90242, 500 CFM. Not a big unit but it sure beats cleaning shop vac filters, now all I have to do is empty the collection bag. Wish I had done this years ago.

Hi Jeff, Thanks for the info, Like you I'm an underground wrapper too and was always fighting the dust problem. At one time I bought a filtration system but it was too big to hang and sent it back. I'll check into what have and see if it's good for my shop. Thanks, Dennis j. Danku
