How long should one wait before putting on, and wrapping guides when a blank has been re-finished with 2 good coats of permagloss?

usually that stuff is as hard as a rock overnight. You might be better waiting at least 24 hours. Try the thumb nail test. If it does not leave any indent, it should be hard enough. Bill - willierods.com Re: How long before wrapping guides on after....

You might want to wait 48 hrs. I just finished a rod that I put a coat of P-gloss on. I started wrapping after 24 hrs. the thread didn't seem to want to slide very well when trying to pack it. After 48 hrs everything felt a lot better. After 24 hrs the thread didn't make any marks in the finish. I had to unwrap one it just didn't seem to slide as wel. If you're in an area of high humidity, you'll be fine in about 2 or 3 days. In areas of low humidity, wait at least 1 week.
