would like to get a lathe soon, is the renzetti worth the money? Is there a better bang for my buck out there?

Yes, it's worth the money. Very much worth it.

Several good units, all good value for the money, are available. But the Renzetti and perhaps the Custom Power Wrap, are the most sophisticated machines.

I spoke with Andy for a considerable time Sunday at the show and the one thing that I kept mentioning is durability mine is over 20 years old and aside from a couple of O rings and an upgrade on the thread carriage it is still going strong, best part I could sell it tomorrow for a good price, with what I could get for the sale I figure my investment is about $1.00 per month max not a bad investment

I thought long and hard before I bought mine and I have never regreted it, I did buy a couple of extra rod supports and a bed extension but you can get those items at any time.

I like mine....with the exception of the motor going out in the 1st 7months and renzetti not replying to emails. It is a good machine.

Custom Power Wrap is sold by Angler's Workshop. It's similar but more robust and feature oriented than the Pac Bay unit.
