Micro Guides and thread size?????

I have some 60 wt thread, smaller than A=40 wt, about, Good or bad Idea to try 60 wt on the micro guides??? Re: Micro Guides and thread size?????

Shouldn’t hurt, but you should be extra careful about guide prep. You will need the foot to be as sharp as possible to get the thread to climb up. Re: Micro Guides and thread size?????

I used to have some black Talbot #60 thread. I wish I knew where to get more. I used it on fly rods and light spinners. It was great, I loved it for the job, especially single foot and snake guides. Guide prep is important, but I would not use the word "sharp", but smooth and fine to describe the foot preperation needed. Re: Micro Guides and thread size?????

I got mine at one of the wife's quilt shops any major sewing store should have it, if you don't live close to one then go to JoeAnn's on line. Superior Threads, The Bottom Line, designed by Libby Lehman/ Bobbin & Applique thread filament polyester I have used it before always with CP. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
