Where did you locate the variable speed on PSI

I decided to add the variable speed to the turncrafter pro lathe. OK so after the usual minor set backs I am trying to find a good location for the variable speed control box. Where did you guys locate the box. Obviously my psi lathe was not designed for this box. Universal directions leave something to be desired.

I have mine right on the left side where it shows in the pic [www.pennstateind.com] Scroll down and there are a couple of pix showing it in different locations. You are going to love it

I did not scroll down far enough when I looked before--there are no mounting holes however. I want it firm so if I need to shut it off in a hurry I can. In reality there should be a back plate included to replace the old switch.

I have a JET mini(JML1014) that I added the PSI VS motor kit to. I have the bed extension as well so the tailstock end was sorta outta the question. I mounted to the underside of the stand top. It kept it close to the action and somewhat protected from dust/chips. The only downside was the on/off switch is side to side motion instead of up/down. The plug-in power connection from the controls to the motor was more than long enough for me. And Mike's right, you're gonna like it.
