Expo Hotel Rooms

We sold more rooms and more room nights at the Radisson (Hotel High Point) for the Expo than at any previous event. Although we're over our block and the hotel is nearly full, the sales manager there told me just a few minutes ago that they do still have a few available rooms and would be willing to sell them at the special Expo rate.

I don't know how many rooms we'd be talking, probably not more than a few, but if you want to stay directly across from the Showplace, there were still a few rooms as of this morning.

If the weather holds, we are expecting another record setting crowd.

That highlights the one thing I was unhappy about with this years schedule. I live close enough that I could leave very early Saturday morning spend one night in a motel and drive back Sunday evening. Now if I want to go to the Rodmaker reception on Friday night, and both days at the show it will require two nights in a motel. I realize you can’t please everyone.

That's very true, but we did it the other way for the last 5 years and due to the larger and larger crowds each year and the fact that many vendors wanted to stay open later on Saturday this year, we'd thought we give Friday night a go.

We are driving all the way from LA (Lower Alabama) spending Thursday night with my daughter in Athens Ga. then on to High Point for the reception Friday. Friday and Saturday in the hotel then back to Athens, then back to LA. About 1200 miles RT and looking forward to it!

I called the hotel today around 1:30 pm and booked a room for Saturday night. I talked to Melissa who was very outgoing. I told her that I would be attending the Rodbuilding Expo and she said that they still had rooms available. Look forward to meeting some of you who have been so helpful to me in my first year building.
