Expo Showcase Rods

Those builders who would like to display their custom rods at the upcoming Expo are encouraged to bring their rods with them on Saturday morning (or bring them across to the Atrium on Friday if you arrive early).

We will have two large glass front display cases for showcasing custom rods this year. They are lit, secure and will present your rods to best advantage. No one can handle or walk off with them. We’ll tag them with your name and require ID to claim them when you leave.

Both cases will be located in the Atrium Hall where all who enter can view the rods within. We may put up some sort of opinion poll or something and the maker of the rod that receives the most votes from the public will receive some sort of door prize. No, you won’t be crowned the world champion rod builder but you will win a rod blank or two.

If you’ve been wanting to display some of your custom rods but have been leery about leaving them in an open booth or wondering how to safely and securely have them seen, this is your answer. Doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or a long time builder. Bring whatever you want and we’ll be happy to highlight your rod in front of the viewing public in a safe and secure setting.

Here are some recent press links to the upcoming event and a report on last year's event with photos. Note the photo of the lady angler in the first spot - the author used a photo showing a single 90-degree transition spiral wrapped rod. Nice to see spiral wrapped rods showing up in the angling press.
