Thread Master Chromaseal Revue !

Gentlemen:

I very seldom use cp due to the instability of cp or my ignorance of proper application techniques( I am an amatuer) I normally use a metallic base wrap and regular nylon guide wrap and like the results. However my latest project requires cp and regular nylon thread to retain the desired color.
I purchased a bottle of chromeaseal and this stuff worked flawless on my test wrap. After applying a couple of coats of cp and then the epoxe, the thread color did not change a bit and the whole procedure was effortless. Thank you for recommending it to me .

I've used a few brands of CP through my short tenure of Rod Building, and Chromaseal is without a doubt the best I've used.

I use it on all of my wraps and have found it works very well. Just make sure it dries well before you apply the epoxy.... Don't ask....

How does it compare to Flex Coat or Gudebrod?
These are the only two I've used, I never had a problem so I've never experimented.

Joe,

I can shed light on part of you question. First let me say Flex Coat is one that I have not used, so can't help you there. But Gudebrod 811 used to be my GO TO CP, but it would often have viscosity issues. You'd get one bottle and it would be water thin, but the next would be the consistency of honey. I can say that I have never seen a differance in the couple bottles of Chromaseal that I have gotten. Andy Dear put a lot of time, money, and effort into making it the best on the market today!!
