Madeira without CP

Has anyone used Madeira polyneon thread without CP without getting fisheyes? I know that there is a silicone lubricant on it. What if the finished wrap was cleaned with denatured alcohol to remove the silicone?

Here are two wraps I have done with Madeira, Polyneon #40 with no CP. I have had no problem with fisheyes. After talking to others it seems the fisheye do appear if they use heat or flame on the epoxy.

I had a problem where when I put epoxy to the thread it went clear on me but only in certain spots. The metallic Sulky and such I never have problems with.

I have also had good luck using the Diamondite by Swifty finish. It is a little different than the others as it started life as an adhesive.

Just finished another Madeira wrap yesterday, no CP, no problems. I have been doing it a lot lately.
