Right way or Not? roller guides

I have been looking all over the internet and have not come up with the answer to my question, below is the url's to a couple of guides, one a double roller the other a single.
IS there a right way or not on which way to mount the roller guides, I have seen them both ways on several different rods, been watching a lot of fishing shows trying to see the rods, but still haven't come up with a definitive answer if there is one.

Tim,
The way that you have your pictures labeled is the correct way to mount the guides.
The guiding factor is to insure that you have a smooth line flow, when the rod is deeply flexed, and all of the stress is being taken by the roller and no line is rubbing on any part of the guide or blank.

The double roller guide setup is designed to keep the high line coming in from the reel, to not come up too far. i.e. the line from the reel is run on the underside of the high roller and on top of the low roller. Then, as the blank is deeply flexed, all of the line pressure is on the low roller.

Note: in your particular case, the side of the guide having the steeper angle is facing the butt of the rod.

Good luck and catch a big one.

Roger

Tim,
P.S.
Here is a picture from a Pac Bay Catalog showing a roller guide setupl.
Note the tip on the left side of the picture.
Then, note the double roller guide on the right side of the picture.

The left side of the picture would be for the tip of the rod.
The right side of the picture would be for the butt of the rod.

As you illustrated in your picture, you have the orientation correct.

Take care
Roger
