This is my 1st post and I just finished my 1st rod. I have been reading your forum for the last month or two. Thanks for all of the good info. I posted pictures in the Guide and Thread Art.

Well done Ron,
A nice crosswrap on the first build is a bit adventuresome and ya pulled it
off quite well. Got some minor thread gapping on the guide you posted
but they will get better & easier. The camera sees EVERYTHING! Do you have
a good set of magnifiers?

Thanks your not kidding about what the camera sees. I noticed that after I took the pictures and then when I brought it outside after the finish coat. I am trying to figure out how I want to do the next one. No I do not have any magnifiers and I need better light. I put two coats thinned 50% and 1 coat 100% CP (Flex Coat) on the guides and I just hope that they hold up. Then I finished it with Flex Coat High build.

Don't worry about them holding up. They will be fine. My first few rods were not near as good!
Magifiers are not near as helpful as good lighting but even bright young eyes will be surprised
when one uses them. Especially after one takes a few photos!

You should be proud now but wait till ya land a nice one with that rod.
