As this unprecedented year comes to a close, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the opportunity to serve your rod building needs in 2008.

Reflecting back on 2008, Mud Hole Custom Tackle had the opportunity to introduce, hundreds of new and unique items – from our “Custom Rod Builder” line of specialized rod building products to vertical jigging blanks, custom gaffs, colored winding checks, new decals, turning mandrels, new corks, colored reel seats and many more items. We published three catalogs with our popular Summer Flyer featuring Snake Skin inlays sending snakes everywhere into hiding. In our web site we added real time in-stock availability to most blanks and added more color pictures. Early in 2008 we welcomed Todd Vivian to our team with his wealth of rod building and manufacturing experience. We hosted another very successful open house where almost 400 people enjoyed a day of free rod building how-to’s. We donated $5,000 to the Rod Maker Magazine library program to put over 700 books in local libraries. We started our “School Education Program” to put rod building into schools, clubs and groups in a simple and economical way.

Now looking forward to 2009, I can say the best is yet to come. As I type this, our 2009 catalog is being printed (it should be in mail boxes the 2nd to 3rd weeks of January). Our 2009 catalog will be unequivocally the best rod building catalog ever produced by any company. Completely re-designed by our dedicated production staff, its' 164 full color pages will simply astound you with new products, layout and selection. In 2009 we will be attending many fishing and boating shows in states like NY, NJ, CA, WA, NC, TX, MA and FL. Again, we will be updating our web site with hundreds of new items, expanding our school education program and reaching out to younger rod builders.

But all of this would not be possible without you, our customers. Thank you for the opportunity you give us to serve your rod building needs – you are our greatest asset! We will continue to strive for 110% customer satisfaction and excellence in customer service in 2009. Thanks Tom. We appreciate the great service your company provides. We have ordered several times this last year, and were impressed with everything. Selection, price, service, as well as the great specials you feature. My wife is actually the rod builder. On June 5th, she called your company with a question, and your staff was very helpful, and you could tell that they enjoyed helping a customer, especially someone new to rod building. We do not remember the gentleman's name, but he was very helpful and friendly.That is one of the most important things a company can do for its customers. Service does make a difference. We own 3 small companies, and one thing remains the most important of all the things we can do, that is to help serve the customer. It is nice to be able to recognize the importance other companies strive to instill in their staff on this issue. You have done a good job, Tom.
