I just picked up a new blank with a spigot ferrule. On normal ferrule I would wrap the female side of the ferrule. I assume that I would do the same with a spigot ferrule? I remember the article in RM about the +/- of wrapping ferrules. Just curious what the consensus is.

On spigot ferrules you should wrap both the female and male sections. These are not always internally reinforced and generally require wrapping. However you can check with the manufacturer if in doubt. That is usually a safer bet than a consensus from folks who don't know anything about the blank's construction.
