Hi All,
I am looking to build up a 0wt or maybe a 1wt fly rod. I am aware that presently Sage as ultralight sticks, but I am looking for something a bit longer (ie 8'1" to 8'6"). Preferably a premium blank. Any suggestions. Thanks. Re: 0wt and 1 wts

You could get the 8 foot blank and mount your reel seat 1" back from the butt end of the blank and you would have an 8'1" rod. An inch will make very little difference in the rods performance, and I mount most of my seats a half to an inch back. They all work great. A heavier action rod (like 4 and up) I would not do that but with a 0 or 1 wt. you are not likely to have to put the fish on the reel anyway so undue pressure in the blank shouldn't be an issue. Schneider's also has a 10 ft 1 wt blank. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
