in the late 70's and 80's coren's rod and reel service in chicago had them listed in their fliers. pretty light wire guides, supposedly lightest available at that time. you could start there. i thought i was the only person alive that remembered that archaic bit of info! never did get to try any of them. good luck with your search. I believe they're still in business and still producing roller guides. One very unique design, I think it's theirs, entails a roller that can be slid off the base which enables you to remove the roller portion for easier cleaning and lubing. The feet/legs stay in place on the blank.
I had contacted them in Italy some years ago about doing a story on these guides, but they said that demand outstripped the supply and they were not eager to push into the custom rod market here in the U.S. That may have changed since then, however. ................. Re: Pucci Guides

Jerry
I built several rods(maybe 10 or so in the 80's using these guides(double foot). They were the lightest guides I could find at the time. The surface is very rough and they were very very hard on light line. I remember re spooling several times a day when the fishing was hot. One advantage of was that the ice knocked of them quickly while winter Steelhead fishing. IMO there are far superior guides out there in todays market. I believe the Pucci Guides are very similar looking to the old Fin Nor style big game aluminum roller guides.
The removable type roller guide Tom mentioned I believe is made by Alutecnos.... I do not have any idea on where to buy the Pucci Guides. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
