Takle Tour posted a new article today....it is a primer on choosing a custom rod....this is a good advertisement for the craft...and will get some of those big $$ spenders looking custom....

If this sort of link isn't allowed I apologize, just thought the guys here would find it interesting.

Scott thanks for posting. It is highly evident from this very complimentary article that custom rods do have a viable place in the market. The sad thing is that the production builders also have the skill and resourses to quickly bring these build styles to the market. The custom builders noted are to be complimented for their work and marketing skills in advertising their unique products.

If another such article appears for custom rods in the near future I think I can predict what the new one will look like!

It was a good little read. The rods pictured were by Mark Janeck and Matt Davis, and as usual, each highlighted extremes of our craft with some superb work. Personally, Matt's stealth scheme was more to my liking, but the bling on Mark's work was awesome too.
