I am not aware of any 2-piece popping blank that has an offset, butt located ferrule. There may indeed be some, but I'm not aware of any at this time.

Hi John,
I have a 2 peice, butt jointed 7' 6" PE3-6 that I built on a Speed popping blank that I picked up from Sabre Strokers in Beach Rd, Singapore. The alternatives would be one of the Xzoga blanks also available in Singapore, or possibly one of the T Russell blanks from Matagi in Japan Re: 2 pcs butt joint popping blank

Batson has two piece popping blanks. i would think they are a 50/50 split. You could trim a longer blank, ---- but ---- be carefull. Any time you trim, you change the action and feel. Re: 2 pcs butt joint popping blank

I have bought blanks from Ocean Tackle International that are butt joint and rated for 50# and 80# in an 7.5'. Also, Anglers Pro Shop had some Smith WRC80/P in an 8' butt joint blank but they have been out of stock for a while. Paul of JPR Custom Rods may have some of the OTI blanks in stock otherwise google Ocean Tackle International or 360tackle.com or JPR Custom Rods. Although they do not show blanks for sale, I have bought blanks from them in the past. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 11/13/2008 12:39AM by Mel Shimizu.
