Bill Stevens had a crash.

That's right. His computer hard drive dove into the swamp this afternoon and he and Clyde were unable to revive it. There will be a wake to follow and hopefully we will have a few days of peace and quiet. He said; with a very heavy heart, "that I may be back in a few days".

The upside is that we can now pile on for all his past indiscretions without repudiation.

Unfortunately, his phone still works.

Makes even more sense now why he choose the new motto of just "Gon" instead of "Gon Fishin"?

But watch out... he may come back with a multicomposite micro hard drive... with split keyboard...

Maybe they will show his "PC" in the new line of Microsoft commercials at the bottom of a swamp. I wonder if it had the juice to give the "Fatal Error" message.

He's just gotta learn to keep the flock away from his hard drive...a rookie mistake. He'll be back....How does a hard drive dive into a swamp in the south? Full Gator.( khe khe khe).

NERB that types with a bar of Ivory soap in his mouth.

I'm glad you were talking about his hard drive. First thing I thought reading the title was that he had a car accident.

Hardly a setback compared to recent challenges Mother Nature has dealt Bill and those around him. As a friend in W. Virginia told me once about facing adversity...
"That ain't no hill for a climber like him" Enjoy the rest brother.

I can relate. Mine died about a month ago and I'm working on my old slow laptop. Maybe Bill and I need to check out some of the new "helium" netbooks that come in under 3 pounds. I'm not sure if they use Perm Gloss or micro guides, but a 2.2 pound computer is impressive.
