I had some good advice. "subscribe to RodMaker Magazine!" the old pro said.
Well I did, and it came in rather quickly. I was pleasantly surprised. That is the most useful information I have ever seen put into 1 magazine.

Rodmaker does have a lot of pretty pictures, but if that was all it was it would be one @#$%& of a waste of money. What makes it a bargain is the INFORMATION. Go to any rod building event or seminar put on by anyone and see what\'s being presented. Where did it come from.....Rodmaker magazine. Look on just about any rod building message board and read the topics and ideas. Where did they come from? Rodmaker magazine. The mag is the cutting edge in rod building ideas and information. Great quality, information, ideas and NEW innovations. It is the cheapest thing you will ever do to vastly improve your rod building skills. Pretty pictures for sure, but one @#$%& of a lot more than just that.

Roy, you're right on about the magazine. I keep looking over my old issues and find gems I had missed the first time around.

And the web site is a gem in itself. Works fast, more great info. I just cannot go onto it without learning something.

We are very lucky to have these resources.
