Yes.
It's also possible to build one using all 3.5mm guides or 5mm 4mm 3.5mm 3mm's to tip Re: would it be feasable

I've been reading some on the micros, but haven't tried 'em yet. From what I've read, Steve and Bobby are both using them, but in a very different guide set up. My question, and I'm just looking for opinions, is do both on top/spiral setups work ~equally well in all applications...is there times when the on top would be more effective than spiral and vice versa.
