Does anyone know if clear casting resin can be used over thread finish? I want to cast a sample of a wrap and turn it on the lathe for a key fob or something. Ash Re: Before I try it...

I wouldn't use it as an actual thread coating on a rod but for what you want to do with it it should work out great. Re: Before I try it...

ash, use the same clear casting resin used for reel seats and other castings spelled out in Rodmaker(cant remember what issue). you can use the clear resin found at hobby stores ,but it is not as good as the stuff from ARTSTUFF. Re: Before I try it...
