Anyone have any experience with putting Snake skin on a rod? Ive seen it,just wondering if theres anything I should now as far as what NOT to do. I got a very nice rattlesnake hide from Arizona. it's tanned and in grade A condition. I'm thinking of putting a light coat of epoxy on the blank and letting it gel, then applying the skin, letting it set then applying the finish over that. Am I on the right track? Re: Snake skin

Barton,
Unhide your e-mail! I have a tutorial written by Pat Vinzant (the snakeskin master) that I can send you. I have done about a dozen and they are fairly easy and very striking. Epoxy is not used under the skin. Mike (Southgate, MI) If I don't want to, I don't have to and nobody can make me (except my wife) cuz I'm RETIRED!! Re: Snake skin

Won't help you immediately, but Pat is doing a presentation on snake skin inlays at the Expo in February.
