With all the good stuff about the new rod building symbol and the free decal we got I think some of the "meat" in the new issue sort of got sidestepped.
I want to thank Jeff and Rhonda Van Zandt for their nice scrimshaw work on the cover and in the new issue. I'm looking forward to the "how to" portion coming up in the next issue. I think this is something I'm going to try. Re: Scrimshaw

Rhonda does beautiful work. She has penned a "how-to" article on scrimshaw that will appear in the next issue. I hope the simplicity of the process she outlines will convince more builders to give it a try.

I saw their pics on the photo page and thought they were paintings! Not sure I\'ve ever seen scrimshaw art that was anything other than black ink on a white background. How do you get the different colored inks to go where they are supposed to and stay out of areas where they are not supposed to go? I will be waiting to see exactly how this done. If they can teach me to do it, they can teach anyone. But I will not hold my breath! Re: Scrimshaw
