Does anyone know if the PAC BAY RW-3XL can hold a 4oz gudebrod thread spool. I email acid rod this question as I would like to place an order through them but I never got any reply from acid rod.

Depends which thread carriage you get. The one wih the post upright will hold the 4oz. There is a plastic insert that needs to go on the post so the spool is centered..

Marnie,

Check your email. Colleen got it after hours. She has a no cost solution for you.

Like Ernie said, you need the vertical post carriage and they come packed with the new horizontal post carriage.

I have both and would recommend having both unless you do not use the big Gudebrod spool. The horizontal is better for the smaller spools.

Ok, so I just need to order the old style carriage for this to work?

Yup.

That white plastic bushing that you see on one of the posts in the photo is a 4oz. spool adapter.
