I have built several 2 wt 2 piece 6'6" rods (rainbow/forecast) but have a client who wants a 2 piece that has more pieces (wants the unassembled length to be shorter than the 3'3" of the ones I build.) Does anyone know of a shorter (unassembled) blank? Thx. Re: Multipiece 2 wt fly rod

Harold, not real sure what your asking, but if what you want is a multi piece then this one from Batson should fit your criteria.
F662-4 DB 6’6†4piece 2 wt. 0.295 3.5 Mod-Fast 0.83 oz. If your looking for a 2 piece that is shorter then try this one also from Batson. IF502 OG / M 5’0†2 piece 2 wt. 0.310 4.0 Med-Fast 0.50 oz. Re: Multipiece 2 wt fly rod

Harold,
Sevier Manufacturing has new 6' 2 weight 4 piece blanks. We've done a lot of testing with them and the fly shops that have tried it have raved about it. Dave Gibson Re: Multipiece 2 wt fly rod

After the Sevier thing uncorked I took a look at the CUI Benchmark blanks. Really surprised at how good they are. But I do not think they have anything other than two pieces. But you can always cut and make ferrules. AMTAK used to have some great two and three weights but not sure how many pieces. Re: Multipiece 2 wt fly rod

I have both the 6'0"-2wt, and the 6'6"- 2wt, in 4-piece now. These are the Tiger Eye blanks from Sevier and are quite nice. They are not in my online catalog yet so call me directly to order.
Thanks, Joe Joe Douglas Re: Multipiece 2 wt fly rod

The sevier blanks are nice - I have have a couple of them. Also have a look at Dan Craft's blanks. I have only tried the 3wt and up models, but I know he has some multi-piece 1wt and 2wt blanks if memory serves. Re: Multipiece 2 wt fly rod

Harold, Global -Dorber makes a 3 piece 6 ft 2wt. I have built two of them. They weigh in at 1.5 ounces with slip ring grips. I built them to fit into 26" hardwood carrying cases. slow to moderate action... Bob Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
