Catfish blank help

I have a couple of catfish tournament fisherman that would like some rods built. They would like a 1 piece med/heavy 7 ½ foot E-Glass blank. The rods they’re using now are med/heavy casting lure wt. 1-4oz, the line they are using is 80lb Spiderwire and they are using 8oz weight. I have searched some, but did not find what they are looking for in a blank. Any ideas on blanks, guides and set up would be appreciated.

Thanks
Lynn Williams

Lynn,
I would recommend the Lamiglas Tri-Flex Inshore series model No. GTF901MH. While not 100% E-Glass it will be very durable and have more power than a standard E-Glass blank.

Lynn I have built a bunch on the Forcast SWB E-Glass in 40 lb class but they are 7 ft. Also built on the Rainshadow RCLB also in 7 ft. really nice blanks and my people love them.

Rod Blank Model # Rainshadow RCLB80L would be more than enough I actually like the XL a bit better if you need a real soft tip.

All my cat rods are forecast SWB blanks. They fit the bill perfectly. My blanks come from fishsticks4u.
