Comparing St. Croix 9'6" Wild River and Avid Steelhead to Batson

Hi,

Does anybody know the St. Croix

Wild River WS96MHF2 9' 6" MH Fast Action 17lb 3/8 - 1 1/4 c.w.

and the Avid AVS96MHF2 9' 6" MH Fast Action 17lb 3/8 - 1 c.w. ?

I'm looking for a comparable Batson steelhead blank.

The Batson RX7 series is described to have a mod-fast action (slower than med-fast and slower than fast).
The Batson XST is described as fast.

Thanks

IMHO Avids, have felt heavy and clubby comapred to the RX7. The XST is light-years ahead of the Wild River as well as the Avid.

Thanks for you reply!

I have an additional question to the RX7 (IST1264 for example).
Do you know that blank, perhaps?

Is it not true that the Rx7 (mod-fast) is much slower in action than the Wild River (fast)?

They are just using different terms that mean the same thing. The IST 1264 is a very good fishing tool, my favorite in the Rainshadows of that length. Rainshadow also has some new XST blanks that just came in, but I can't remember all the models except the new XST 1025 and 1144, I believe the 1264 also comes in the XST version.
