St. Croix revealed at ICAST this week new SC-VI blanks for there top of the line series of rods. These use SC-V graphite in the tips and 62,000,000 mod. graphite in the butt area. Maybe we will be able to get some good deals on the SC-V blanks soon. Loomis is expanding their GLX lines, but I do not know if there will be blanks available or not.

Don't hold your breath on SCV prices coming down. IMO, they have been priced very well in the past AND all types of production, distribution and marketing costs are continually rising.

I am happy to see that Jason's hard work at St Croix is paying off with yet another great product line. I will be one of the first to give them a whirl.

I think they are not adding another line, but are updating there top-line rods, so there could be some clearance blanks. If you want to read up on them, there is a report on tackletour.com

Just had a long program on the WFN channel on the New Fly Fisher program on Sage, St Croix and Loomis products.
