Well, I got my Tuna/Shark rod done finally. Gimbal is on the right way this time, too! I removed the rollers before I did the thread epoxy, but still managed to get epoxy everywhere. The TM Lite stuff moves much more than the High build does! Lessons learned there!
I reinstalled the rollers and was wondering how much tension to put on them when re screwing them back in? Also, the screws are still blue from the loctite, should I leave them or clean and re coat them with the blue Loctite? Thanks! Re: Roller Screw Tension

The locking compound used on the roller screws will generally hold up for a few removals and reinstallations. Turn until snug. The rollers should turn freely. If not, you're too tight.

Sounds good! I wasn't sure how tight to go with these, I will play with them a little tomorrow. Re: Roller Screw Tension

Do not overtighten. Run some mono thru and you can tell if they work fine.. Re: Roller Screw Tension

Timothy,
The bolt and screw setup on most roller guides are a bearing arrangement, with a fixed length. i.e. the length of the bearing going through the roller is such, that the rollers screw can be very tight without causing any pinching of the roller itself. Before putting the rollers back, look over each guide very carefully under a magnifier. If there is "Anything" in the guide that would cause the roller to be pinched - clean it out. If you don't, you will have long term problems with the roller. The blue loctite, is "light" locking loctite. i.e. it can be unscrewed with moderate pressure. If you do redue the loctite - be sure to stay with the "blue" loctite. Then, as the other posts suggest - tighten them down snugly. There should be no binding at all in the rollers. Note: It is also a good idea to put a drop of high quality reel oil on each roller before reassembling. After putting the rollers back together, make sure that each roller spins freely. If not, disassemble and fix the problem causing the binding. Take care Roger Re: Roller Screw Tension
