Poorest build I've seen in a long time.

Don't usually look on E---, or dog others work, but I had a few minutes and so I did a quick check just putting in "Lamiglas". There is a titanium 9 ft 2 in for big bucks on there that hurts the eyes to look at. Looks like a dog ate the grips or something, can't imagine admitting to the build.
Looks like he bought a few good components, but lost it all in the execution. Don't know what you could offer the guy for it because it would be a complete teardown and strip from what I see. WOW!! He wants $500 for that and $700 for a Winston! I can sure see why they have been up about a week and neither has rec. a single bid!! Worst grips that I have ever seen. Mike (Southgate, MI) If I don't want to, I don't have to and nobody can make me (except my wife) cuz I'm RETIRED!! Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 06/23/2008 12:10AM by Mike Barkley. Bob just go on @#$%& and type in Lamiglas in the search. I think that the @#$%& ends today. Try Winston, also Mike (Southgate, MI) If I don't want to, I don't have to and nobody can make me (except my wife) cuz I'm RETIRED!! Re: Poorest build I've seen in a long time.

90% of the rods there are junk and the other 10% for sale that are good quality are undercutting the rest of us on price so bad it's almost criminal. That place is one of the worst things to happen to the custom rod building world in a long time. Re: Poorest build I've seen in a long time.

You must rely on the customer to understand the difference. Hopefully, most do.

Robert I disagree
I’ve yet to have a customer tell me they could by a custom rod like I build on @#$%& for a cheaper price. IMO all @#$%& does is to sell to the guys who want a custom rod, but would never spend the money on one, or want it from a true custom builder for nothing. As far as I’m concerned it weeds out the clientele I don’t want or have time for, before they get to me. They get what they pay for pure and simple. Re: Poorest build I've seen in a long time.

Billy;
I guess he'll read an honest opinion of his work. Maybe then he will make a commitment to building a better product. That people will actually bid on. Re: Poorest build I've seen in a long time.

There's a sucker born every day. All he needs is to find one to buy his rod, adn doin git on @#$%& will reach a ton more people than a local shop or word of mouth. Especailly when the words coming out of the mouth are harsh. Re: Poorest build I've seen in a long time.

I hate working with cork as I do 95% heavy saltwater rods, but thats even crappy from a production rod standpoint. :( Re: Poorest build I've seen in a long time.

And here I thought I was a thread Ho', and I'd never heard of that thread either.
I'm still waiting for the Prizmatographicam thread which when coated with epoxy is a mirror you can look into and you can see a reflection. IF you eat the "goodies" that come with that thread, the image you see will be infinitely better than the actual image that our wives have to look at. THEy'll look better too, adn our rods will be Jerry Garcia'd - even teh black over black. Re: Poorest build I've seen in a long time.
