Found this today! Seems to be a CO-2 fired casting rod, less than 4 feet long has a foam covered metal butt grip that holds the CO-2 cartridge. And a heavy chrome plated reel seat with a moving bolt like a rifle with a thumb accuated trigger. I believe it must have had a shaft of some sort that lanched a bobber or something? Blank is hollow with two guides and a sliding 8-10" tip section with a metel bugle tip
will post photos as soon as I can Any info? Re: Arrow Cast Casting Rod

Maybe. There is a contraption used in electrical and mechanical contracting work that is used to fire a line over ceiling joists, etc., so that items can be then be tied and pulled up and over such things. It looks much like a short fishing rod.
I'm betting this is what you have, although I can't discount that it is indeed a fishing rod designed to fire a bait or sinker some distance. Still, I think what you have is along the lines of the item I've described above. ................ Re: Arrow Cast Casting Rod

I believe Tom is correct in his assessment. But that does not mean you couldn't use it to go fishing. I have seen set ups similar to this on construction jobs. Usually have a Zebco 33 or 808 type of reel mounted on them Re: Arrow Cast Casting Rod

Interesting to say the least! But probably never intended as a fishing rod. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
