Thanks Tom,

Been thinking today that I'd like to thank him for his book ...

... Started me out on how to build rods so many years ago.

Basically changed my whole life <> For the better.

Not sure how to contact him, and was wondering if anyone knew him personally or had info to contact him.

Lakewood, Co (Denver Metro Area), I believe.
A few months back, I talked to a salesman at Gander Mountain, who built a fly rod, a little over a year ago, under Mr. Garcia's guidance.

Bob Meiser, just signed up with RodBuilding.org. Read your post of June 13, 2008 and thought to respond. Hope you get this post. I am now living in San Antonio, Texas.
Frankly, I just got tired of the cold, snow and ice of Colorado, particularly taking 2 days every spring to clean out the garage from all the gunk that built up over the winter.
Here we have about 4 months of uncomfortable weather but there are about 8 months of very pleasant weather.

Still building a few rods now and then but mostly enjoying retirement. Hope to hear from you.
