About to do my first rod with it.

How many coats did you use, and what is the suggested amount to use? I know I previously used at least 2 coats of other CPs.

1 full, wet coat is generally enough. 2 is not going to hurt anything. You can check with the manufacturer and get his input if in doubt.

I seriously doubt using more than 2 coats is going to buy you anything extra.

I can't speak to that specific product. Most require about 6 to 12 hours with overnight or even 24 hours being the best bet.

2 coats max. Don't spare the stuff - just put on two nice full coatrs. We wait 24hrs between coats, but 8-12 is the minimum.
