We have it in stock also as I guess all of the Lamar distributors do by now . It has been a long time coming ,but I think you will find this CP worth the wait . The easy way to find it on our site is when on the front page ,under Manufacturers , click on Lamar Mfg Robert Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 06/02/2008 06:29PM by Robert Tignor. Bill;
What tests or comparisons have you run to determine that one is as good as the other? Re: ThreadMaster ChromaSeal Color Preserver and Thread Sealant we have it too

Bill , you have just opened a can of worms. I think the ones that have tested it will let you know their results if they see this post . Re: ThreadMaster ChromaSeal Color Preserver and Thread Sealant we have it too

Bill, simply put you don't know what you are talking about. FC is fine for those who don't mind the color of the finished product not matching the color on the spool. FC is fine for those who don't mind an occasional haze forming on dark colored threads. FC is fine for those who don't have to worry about the product freezing and not working.
Those who are looking for a better product won't mind spending the $1.50 more. Those only concerned with dollars and cents will continue basing the performance of a product based on the price, and not how well the product actually works. I find it pretty funy that you put your internet reputation on teh line for $1.50. Re: ThreadMaster ChromaSeal Color Preserver and Thread Sealant we have it too

So this stuff won't make the threads turn their dark/wet colors??? Nice!!! The Trondak Color Lock works well, and I like the darker colors on the Dark blue I got, but with some other colors, I would want their spool color instead of their wet color!! Nice! I have to agree with Billy I have been using Chroma Seal for quite sometime now and have found it to be far superior to anything else I have ever tried and will be quite happy to pay what ever the cost is to get the better product. Besides even at 1.50 more per bottle how much does that translate to cost for putting it on a rod pennies maybe. You decide!!! I was one of the guys that tested a couple of the formulas for Andy, and I founded it to be heads and tails above any of the other ones that I have used!! Mike (Southgate, MI) If I don't want to, I don't have to and nobody can make me (except my wife) cuz I'm RETIRED!! Re: ThreadMaster ChromaSeal Color Preserver and Thread Sealant we have it too

Hay guys, don,t get me wrong. I know his products are of top quality !! I just see gas going up, supplies, going up and took a look at the new rods of some of the rod companies for 2008. The new stuff has a lot of what we put on rods. Re: ThreadMaster ChromaSeal Color Preserver and Thread Sealant we have it too

But none of them have Chromaseal. For $1.50, you can use that in your sales pitch as to why custom is better than factory. lol. Re: ThreadMaster ChromaSeal Color Preserver and Thread Sealant we have it too

Guys,
How well does it work over decals and such? Anyoen tried it on peel and sticks and waterslides yet? How fast a "coat over" time are we looking at with the Lamar? DR Re: ThreadMaster ChromaSeal Color Preserver and Thread Sealant we have it too

I'm new to the craft but it seems that compared to the final finish, FC High Build, FC Lite, Permagloss, etc, etc. which gets a lot of comments and very good tips and techniques from most of the experienced rodmakers that respond to this site, there is not a lot of comments on the fine points of CP. I have been using FC CP with FC Lite Build. One good pointer I got early was to "learn" a finish and stick with it. It was good advice.
I think the same thing applies with which ever CP you use, problem being that it seems to be treated with little respect, more of a afterthought. I have bought some of the new ChromaSeal just to see how it works. (Not arrived yet). It seems that CP, which ever brand you use, has its on quirks. It really warrants as much discussion as the finish itself. If not, builders would not be looking for a better mouse trap. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
