I have a Seeker CLB 702 that I built to catch catfish with. A friend was checking it out and likes the soft tip section but wanted to know if the rod will handle 5 & 6 oz. sinkers for bottom fishing or will he need to step up to the CLB 704 and if so how much stiffer will the tip section be. Thanks for any info. Re: Question about Seeker CLB blanks

The butt is noticeably stiffer but the tip is only slightly stiffer and in my opinion, would be better for handling that kind of weight.
