Does anyone make a similar reel seat that is not quite so pricey? I am going to build a rod for a charity silent @#$%& and would like to keep my cost down a little.
Thanks Tom Church Re: Fuji Cobra reel seat

Absolutely not ... IMO, the Fuji Cobra has NO equivalent.
Here are some nice looking alternatives, however - Fuji Soft Touch OR Fuji Cobra Skeleton Seat w Cork Insert Re: Fuji Cobra reel seat

Cabelas carries a woven graphite and titanium threaded spinning seat. It is a sweet looking reelseat. Not really similar to the Cobra, but it has the graphite look for a portion of it. Scott Sheets www.smsrods.com Re: Fuji Cobra reel seat

The cobra finish looks really good, in fact it's outstanding! Pricey, though, for sure. I have also had issues with the finish wearing off on the skeleton seat hoods after hard use. Hopefully they have rectified this with a better clear coat. The Cobra NPS may well hold up better than the skeletons. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
