Which one is the most succesful Tiger Eye blank ?

Hi folks,

I think every blank series has one or maybe two real burners and I want to know which one(s) we talk about in this series. So which one is the best/most succesful Tiger Eye blank?

Maybe there are some out who have built already different ones and really can give an experienced statement.

Awaiting the news.

Rgds,
Ole

The Tiger Eye blanks over 8 ft don't see much use that I've noticed due to their big butt dia. I imagine.
My favorites are the 6 ft 2/3 and 3/4, 7 ft 6 in 3/4 4piece and the 8 ft 3/4 4 piece.

Hi Ole,

I have built a number of fly rods using Tiger Eye blanks and have found no problems with them at all.

Any of the medium to short light line models are quite nice. The longer and heavier weight models are also nice, but weigh a bit more than you might be accustomed to. Of course, this is true in any of the "value" lines of rod blanks, not just the Tiger Eye.
