Just FYI. Earlier threads discuss lathes and the PSI Pro VS is recommended and at a price of $279.
Just FYI it's on amazon.com right now for $227 with free shipping. For $258 you can get the lathe AND the extended bed and free shipping. Jim Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 05/14/2008 09:54AM by Jim Williams. Re: VS PSI Lathe $ FYI

I have the PSI. I got mine at a good price as well. I say go for it.Then, you'll spend $65 - $250 for a chuck, $50 - $100 on lathe tools, $80- $100 on a grinder and another $120 for a Wolverine Sharpening system, $35 on a Jacobs chuck, and $75 on mandrels. Then, when you are properly equipped, order your assorted stabilized wood, acrylic blanks, and cork rings, sandpaper in grits from 60- at least 1200, safety glasses, filter masks, and there you are.......you're turning rod components! Have fun! Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
