I was told the unveiling of the new Harrington production was supposed to have happened at the West Coast Show. Did they or are they dead in the water?

Scott, Eric Jacobs and his wife were there, and they had somewhere in the range of 15-20 different blank models there. I might be understating the number of blanks, I didn't count. They had a new catalouge they were giving out, and seemed to be busy the entire show...but then again, so was everyone there. I know they had a big raffle for a blank, which went for $1,000 and the money was donated to taking several Armed Force members on a free charter.

I spoke with Eric & his wife for a while prior to the show starting, tehy were really nice peopel and excited about re-introducing the HArnells to the fishing world. Good luck to them.

Hi Billy,
Did you get a website for them or an e-mail address? If so, could you send it along? Thanks.

Mike Blomme

Scott they were there and well represented. Jean Harrington was there meeting and greeting people all day too. I heard here assuring several people that the product when it returns to the market 100% will be traditional Harnell style and quality. She wont have it any other way. The Jacobs have the building and (last I heard) are revamping some of the equipment. One of the more Challenging problems of course are all the licences and permits. Oregon is one of the toughest states where EPA and OSHA involved. They will be back full speed but they may not have the Grand Opening until later this year or next. We will just have to be patient but it is nice to know we wont lose an important part of our industries history and Heritage. Stay tuned.

Thanks, I've been anxious waiting for them to come back and am glad to hear they are still going forward. If someone has a contact for them please e-mail. They aren't responding to the e-mail address Doc gave me a while back.
