Steve,

I would like to thank you for sharing your idea on the Vibronic rods and the handle design, and also your newest handle with everyone. What a great concept. In today’s world people are not good about sharing ideas and I do understand stand why. Because there are people or company’s that will take advantage of you. It’s good to have innovators like yourself in the rod building craft.

Here’s a quote from Tom Kirkman’s post a few weeks ago that I think sums it up.
(Steve's newer design, featured in the current issue of RodMaker, may be the lightest yet. What's there is needed and what's needed is there. Nothing more, nothing less. It's an idea made possible with the carbon skin technique but still hard to believe that no one had come up with it prior. )

Thanks again
Lynn Williams

It is hard to believe that no one else thought of that. It just makes sense. I would also think it is the very lightest handle that could be built.

Permagloss to finish the skin? Or used to wet out and finish the skin all in one? Very sharp thinking.

I think if I did that using the heat shrink tape it would cause quite an air bubble problem by trapping it in the cloth

PermaGloss wouldn't be the proper product for wetting out the skin. It would take a great deal of it to get the job done and really wouldn't be suitable for any project where you have to apply a good deal of heat - it does have a highly flammable solvent in it.

As far as something to overcoat a skin with, however, it would be just fine.
