Hi everyone,
I returned from the Castaway office late last night after picking up more of their discontinued blanks. These were some of the more popular blanks that I sold in High Point in Feb.and quickly ran out of. I just listed them on my website on the closeouts page. Mag Bass 7' models in 844's and 845's in gloss blue and Mag Bass 845's in matte teal . These blanks would make great rods for Carolina Rigging, jig or worm fishing, Redfish, Snook and Striper fishing. Also, I have just a very limited quantity of 6'2" matte teal blanks that are fast action and perfect for throwing 1/4 oz topwaters like small Chug Bugs, Pop R's and Rico's, minnow type lures and even 1/4 oz spinnerbaits. Lots of people were also looking for the type of hook keepers that Castaway came out with several years ago on all of their rods.I call them the Carolina Hook Keeper and they are listed in the miscellaneous section. It's a great hook keeper especially for keeping your weedless lure attached to the rod WITHOUT having remove the bait from the hook. When you have a few minutes to spare please take a look at my website and the closeouts page, you may just find something that you can't live without. New to the craft, I been buying up discount blanks to practice and learn on. I bought a bunch of these blanks from Swampland along with the described hook keepers and some Castaway fully exposed reelseats. Lance was very helpful to me and offered very quick turn around on my order. I'll be back again for more stuff real soon.
Thanks again Lance, Steve Re: Discount Castaway Blanks

Lance - can you give more details on the Castaway blanks - blank weights, construction, etc? Your site looks nice and I would really like to order a couple of these - but I'd like a few more details on the blanks first. Thanks!! Re: Discount Castaway Blanks

Hi Rich, I'll get some weights and measurments and send you an email with that information and more. Thanks for the interest. These are all first run blanks made overseas for Castaway's production rods. They had an issue with the color of these blanks not being consistent with blanks previously made for them. The color of these blanks are a nice transparent gloss blue. Re: Discount Castaway Blanks
