A quick ? for those who have used this product. I just started on a handle for a rod of mine. So far I have only used one coat of the west system. It looks as if it might need a 2nd coat but also it needs to be sanded down alittle because the epoxy settled on one side of rod. Is it better to sand before 2nd coat or after? thanks for any response.

Brad. I have been giving mine a light sand between coats and applying three all together. First coat wets the sleeve out, second and third get the whole thing pretty smooth. Even the first coat is squeegied off with a latex glove to avoid uneven buildups. When finished, I spray a coat of clear finish. (I have tried urathane and acrylic. Both look good and the jury is still out on how well they hold up.) As far as the build up, I think you are going to have to experiment with that one. It might be hard to sand off a large buildup without going too far into the carbon sleeve. I wrote a couple off to the learning curve before installing one.
