Oval guides, has anyone tried these?

I came across these one day and like the way they look, but would be using them on a MH fast action bass rod which would see a little saltwater action. I'm going to load the reel up with 30# braid and thought these would be a nice fit. Has anyone used them? If so, what do you think?

They are great guides. Used a lot in Japan for any sort of boat fishing where the line will be straight down. The smaller single foot DB guides are very universal and I use them on most any sort of baitcast rod.

They were popular on livebait kingfish trolling rods but I don't see them that often anymore. Fuji advertises them as boat rod guides and I'd think they'd be too big for a bass rod, especially the high frame, double foot butt guide

Concur with the double foot butt guides being used for boat rods, however the single foot DB's are made all the way down to a size 3.5 or 4 I believe. Very small and work fine on bass rods or spinning rods. Sometimes see these guides used for braid on spinning rods and casting in conjunction with the Lowriders, obviously using the high footed Lowrider at the butt. Very nice but pricey arrangement.

Thanks guys, I like the way they look, and with the titanium I could use them for freshwater and saltwater in the bays/lagoons/surf without worrying about corrosion. Maybe I'll save my pennys and try them on my next rod.

you wont be dissaponted Tim, i have used a few, run a set of CWDBSG's on my 10kg (20lb) stroker, use it for tuna and general reef fishing running 30lb braid over them, VERY well balanced, i have done a few light jig sticks with them also , 7' 20lb rods and have run down to the #5 single foots, flawless !!!
