I've got a customer who wants a fly rod to donate to his local clubs @#$%&.
Heis thinking an 8 1/2' 4 wt. 3 pc. or I suggested a 4 pc since there are more options. med fast action I'm sure price is a consideration for him. Right now I just don't have time to look through all the catalogs etc. So I'm being a little lazy and asking the board for suggesions. Thanks in advance. Re: help picking fly blank

Take a look at the Matrix AMF864-4, 8'6" 4wt in 4 pieces available in Black or Green. Mod-fast action with a Lifetime Guarantee, and it sounds like it will fit his budget. Let me know if I can answer any questions, thanks. Chase Foster American Tackle www.americantackle.us Re: help picking fly blank

Cabelas has a nice selection of blanks, also. I made an 8 wt 9 ft travel rod from one of their XML blanks and it is a great rod, very light for the power. A guide who sees a lot of rods mentioned how well he liked it, also. Re: help picking fly blank

If you want an 8'6" 4-wt. in med-fast action the Rainshadow RX7 fits the bill. In 4-piece it retails for $103.55. Something to consider, since it is going to be a give-away, is that the 2-piece is only $57.77.
I have both in stock in Olympic Green. Thanks, Lynn Double LL Fly Rods Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
