I just wanted to see if anyone has used the new glow in the dark thread and if it worked under the finish and how long was the glow time for it ?

I am presently working on a butt wrap using the Fishhawk glow threads but I have not taken the time to test the duration of the glow.

Hmmmmm.......Maybe will look into it on my day off..I will post results as they develop.

I believe you have to "recharge" time is ever 20-30 minutes? I spoke with Robbie from FishHawk about this thread the other day, and believe this is what he said. I could be wrong though, so I'm gonna give him a head's up to this post.

IT does work under epoxy. REgardless of the glow in the dark medium (thread/paint), it must be recharged every so often.

I believe Billy`s comments are dead on! This thread is actually a luminous metallic which is very unique looking. Our hope was that surf fishermen or night fishermen could use it on rod tips but I am extremely concerned that it will need to be "recharged" too often and might be a pain in the neck for fisherman. We sold some of this thread at the Expo to test the market. We are interested in your HONEST feedback. You will not hurt my feelings in any way with feedback! We only plan to offer thread which brings value to rod builders. We have new threads coming out which we plan to submit to our new distribution channels and intoduce at ICAST. We also hope these new materials receive honest feedback so we can best serve the market...both custom builders and OEM manufacturers.
